My Boat Has Two 30A Shore Power Inlets, Can I Wire Them Together?

My boat has two 30 amp shore power inlets, one at the aft deck area and one on the outside port side of boat.  There is only one 30 amp service to boat. Can I wire them together to have the choice to use one or the other? What type of wire? - Patrick
