AC Circuit Protection for Inverter Input

Question:

Hi Jeff, First of all I watched your videos and learned so much - thank you. I have a question that I cannot see any answer anywhere. I have a Victron multiplus inverter charger. My shore power has a 15 amp outlet, do I need to protect ot with a breaker or fuse before I connect the AC "IN"?  Thanks. -  Alain

Hi Alain, Glad PYS YouTube videos are resonating with you. Yes, you absolutely need to protect the AC line going into your inverter with a circuit breaker at the beginning of the line.  - Jeff
