Can I Use an A/B Switch to Manually Change the Charge From the House Bank to the Start Bank with Solar?

Hi Jeff, I have a Victron MPPT 100/30 solar charge controller connected to my house bank. Can I use an A/B switch to manually change the charge from the house bank to the start bank? Really enjoy your advice, thank you for sharing. - Monte

Although I’ve thought of your suggested setup, i have never seen it or done. My concern would be ensuring your solar panels are never disconnected from a battery while charging. I would recommend to share your solar charging from your house bank to the starter bank with a battery combiner between house and engine battery. Alternatively, you could also install a DC to DC charging converter, between house and engine battery. - Jeff
