Connecting a Battery Monitor Shunt to Two Battery Banks?

Can I hook my Xantrex Link 10 battery monitor shunt to my on-off-both switch ground, so I can read voltage on what ever bank is selected? Thanks - Don

Your approach should work, notwithstanding, never tried this before and not sure if they are any unforeseen problems with have the battery negative shunt switched. Let me know how your setup goes and if you encounter any surprises so we can share with fellow boaters.
