My VHF Only Operates in International Frequencies, How Do I Enable Canadian VHF?

Hi, I have a Garmin VHF 300i AIS radio that only operates on international frequencies. Are you able to activate the Canadian frequencies and reset the MMSI number? Is any added hardware required?
