Should I Use a Battery Isolator or an ACR?

Question:

I am located in Florida and have a 55 amp alternator and a starter battery and a pair of (2) 6volts (4) all together. Is it better to have a battery isolator or an ACR? - Mike

Answer:

Assuming you have a battery charger that is connected to both engine and house bank, then suggest you go with a battery isolator to share your alternator charge to both house and engine batteries.
